Kai Nihonkai, a high school student living in a rural town, tries to run away from the town with Yuki, a woman who is about to be forced into a political marriage, but the chase ends in failure. Nihonkai, who has become uncomfortable in his hometown due to the eloping scandal, cuts off the relationship with his father, who is the chief priest of the temple, and leaves his hometown alone to meet various women.
